It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well we finally put up the tree, YAH!!, I love it. It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas, now if only the cool weather would stay, I would be in heaven. This is the first year with Parker that he actually understands the tree and was looking forward to decorating it. Friday night before we went to bed I told Parker that tomorrow we would put up the Christmas tree. So Saturday morning, I left early to go catch a Christmas sale to get one of Parker's gifts, and when I talked to John on my way home, he said the first thing out of Parker's mouth when he woke up was, "C'mon, let's put up the Christmas tree," he is just too cute and what a memory. After the tree was done, we put on our green shirts and took our Christmas picture in front of the tree. Only 25 days until christmas.

THANKSGIVING is YUM-O

In the words of Rachel Ray, YUM-O, thats all I can say about Thanksgiving. Aside from celebrating and giving thanks for all the things that you are thankful for, thanksgiving is the one holiday that revolves around food, eating food, snacking on food, talking about food, preparing food, and eating all day non stop and it is OK, so like I said YUM-O. I love it next to Christmas it is my fav., and for John it is his favorite. This year we spent thanksgiving at the Marra's, John's Aunts, Martha and Marie came in town from up north to visit and celebrate with us. Thanksgiving is fun for everyone it is great to see family you haven't in a while, talk, gossip, and play games. I love it. In fact Parker had sooo much fun, he skipped his nap and passed out in his room at Mamaw's with a movie and sippy. So much has changed in our lives recently and there is soo much that I am thankful for, a house not wrecked from the hurricane, a fantastic husband, wonderful son, family that loves and supports me, the opportunity for education, a job that helps bring shelter, food, and clothing to my family, and a great group of friends that love and support us. So here is to another year (hopefully many more), and next stop Christmas decorating, YAH! Hope everyone had fun at thanksgiving and happy shopping to those going out on Black Friday.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

This weekend we went to the Lighting of the Doves and iWOW in The Woodlands with our friends Michelle and Gary and their kiddo's (Parker's friends) Haley and Lizzie. On the way there I was telling Parker we were going to play with Haley, and he said "Yeah, I like Haley." He is such a sweetheart. He then goes on to tell me Haley has a baby sister, I said "I know her name is Lizzie, do you want a baby brother or sister" He said yes. I said "do you want a baby brother or baby sister" he said "a baby sister...a baby brother...I want two of 'em" I told him "I had no control over that, God will give us what he wants, and it might be a little hard for mommy and daddy to have two, then the kids would out number us." We'll see I have definitely been getting the baby fever though, but things will have to change first to have another baby, and if Parker and Tiffany (another friend) are right then twins are next, we need to be really prepared for that. The Lighting of the Doves wasn't as spectacular as I remembered it being the first year we went when Parker was 1, but we had fun looking at the lights on the waterway and Parker and Haley had a blast chasing one another up and down the hill. Afterwards we all met up with John at Papa's BBQ for dinner. It was a fun night with our friends.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This year we spent Halloween with our playgroup at Michelle's house. The kids had a blast hanging out, trick or treating, and eating their candy. We had Superman(Tyler 1), Spiderman(Parker 3), Kitty Cat(Haley 3), a Monster "AHHH"(Austin 2), and Indiana Jones(Aiden 3). When everything was done, the kiddos ended up in one chair together watching a movie.
