Christmas Party

Saturday night we had our Christmas Party with our playgroup. A few kids were sick so mommies came without them, I joked we should have just done a mommies night out and left the kids with the dads. But we had a lot of fun, great food, and the kids had a blast opening their gifts from one another and decorating the gigantic cookies, thanks Tiff. A special thank you to Tiffany for letting us take over her house.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Well it snowed, I never would have thought it, but it did. Enough to cover my car and the ground. It was soo pretty even though it was just a little, and it won't be here tomorrow. Pretty funny snowing today, suppose to be in the 50's tomorrow, and by this weekend in the 70's, good old Texas weather. BUT I loved the snow, Parker liked it, and I am praying it will snow for Christmas, but I won't hold my breath.

Holiday Carnival

This weekend we went to the Holiday Carnival in Alden Bridge in The Woodlands, there were tons of different moonwalks, a rock wall, music, a petting zoo, a firetruck for the kids to play in, and FREE pictures with Santa on an old fashion firetruck. The entire event was free, which is always fantastic, and there was so much for the kids to do they had a blast. Our friend Kristy and our her son Tyler came with Parker and I and we had a blast. Parker spent most of his time on all the moonwalks, which was extremely scary to me because he has only been out of his cast for a month and a half. Although I was nervous he didn't care and his leg seemed to be fine for him. Parker and Tyler practiced throwing a baseball into a hole, then went to the duck throwing game and won a set of ducks, what an arm They had a tractor train and surprisingly Parker didn't want to ride it, but Tyler did and enjoyed himself. The petting zoo was Parker's favorite; mostly goats, but they had a huge camel, some ducks, a pig, and a miniature kangaroo thing, I think they are called a wallabie. We saw Santa and got a free picture with him thanks to Walgreens, and got a free snowman snowglobe type thing to put a picture in. We had so much fun, and were glad we decided to go, weather was nice and it wasn't extremely crowded.

Here Comes SANTA CLAUSE, Here Comes SANTA CLAUSE

We went and took pictures with Santa. Wasn't sure how it would turn out since he threw a fit the last time we saw him, but I think since he saw a whole bunch of kids sitting on Santa's lap this time, he was excited to see him and sat on his lap no problem. AND the picture is ADORABLE, if I must say so. SO, "here comes Santa Clause, here comes Santa Clause, right down Santa Clause lane..."

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well we finally put up the tree, YAH!!, I love it. It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas, now if only the cool weather would stay, I would be in heaven. This is the first year with Parker that he actually understands the tree and was looking forward to decorating it. Friday night before we went to bed I told Parker that tomorrow we would put up the Christmas tree. So Saturday morning, I left early to go catch a Christmas sale to get one of Parker's gifts, and when I talked to John on my way home, he said the first thing out of Parker's mouth when he woke up was, "C'mon, let's put up the Christmas tree," he is just too cute and what a memory. After the tree was done, we put on our green shirts and took our Christmas picture in front of the tree. Only 25 days until christmas.

THANKSGIVING is YUM-O

In the words of Rachel Ray, YUM-O, thats all I can say about Thanksgiving. Aside from celebrating and giving thanks for all the things that you are thankful for, thanksgiving is the one holiday that revolves around food, eating food, snacking on food, talking about food, preparing food, and eating all day non stop and it is OK, so like I said YUM-O. I love it next to Christmas it is my fav., and for John it is his favorite. This year we spent thanksgiving at the Marra's, John's Aunts, Martha and Marie came in town from up north to visit and celebrate with us. Thanksgiving is fun for everyone it is great to see family you haven't in a while, talk, gossip, and play games. I love it. In fact Parker had sooo much fun, he skipped his nap and passed out in his room at Mamaw's with a movie and sippy. So much has changed in our lives recently and there is soo much that I am thankful for, a house not wrecked from the hurricane, a fantastic husband, wonderful son, family that loves and supports me, the opportunity for education, a job that helps bring shelter, food, and clothing to my family, and a great group of friends that love and support us. So here is to another year (hopefully many more), and next stop Christmas decorating, YAH! Hope everyone had fun at thanksgiving and happy shopping to those going out on Black Friday.
